About the Role: As we scale rapidly, we’re looking for a Backend Developer to join our core team and take on key product challenges. You’ll be the third hire on the backend team, working alongside a team lead and another developer. This is a critical role for someone who enjoys autonomy, technical ownership, and working on impactful features from day one.

Our tech stack:

• Backend: Ruby on Rails (PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Frontend: React (separate SPA project)
• Mobile: Native iOS and Android apps
• CI/CD: github actions, k8s

What You'll Do:

• Launch new backend services and standalone microprojects.
• Design and document APIs in collaboration with the team.
• Implement key business logic (e.g., discount calculation, workload prediction for nurse shifts).
• Design and implement integrations with partners — including laboratories, hospitals, and third-party services
• Troubleshoot and resolve edge cases and system bugs.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and scaling strategies.
